- SOIRÉE EVENTS PRESENTS THE SECOND ANNUAL
COOL KAILUA NIGHTS BLOCK PARTY & HEALTH AWARENESS FAIR
~Proceeds to Benefit Castle Medical Center’s Chemotherapy Unit~
KAILUA, HI, January 10, 2008— Soirée Events announces the 2nd Annual "Cool Kailua Nights Block Party &
Health Awareness Fair" to take place on Saturday, February 2nd, from 4 - 9:30 pm located on Kailua’s Uluniu &
Aulike Streets (near Baci Bistro & Assaggio’s Restaurant).
Celebrate the best of Kailua’s food, fun and spirit at this community street festival and wellness fair as the
community rallies to raise funds for family and friends affected by cancer. Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit
Castle Medical Center’s Chemotherapy Unit. The February festivities include food sampling, local entertainment,
a health walk, kids corner, auction, giveaways and more! Some of Hawaii‘s most talented musicians will provide
entertainment, and there will be plenty of activities and other fun for the entire family.
Sponsors include: Old Republic Title & Escrow (Title Sponsor), MidWeek, American Savings Bank, & HG
Mortgage. This event is free to the public. Parking is available in the Kailua Municipal parking lot and the Lani
Huli Retirement Center lot.

ABOUT SOIRÉE EVENTS
Born and raised in Kailua, event innovator Danielle Scherman has been a New York City resident since 2003.
Combining her passion for creative events and charitable causes, she launched Soiree Events, a full-service
event planning company – sought after for its innovative orchestration, professionalism and detailed planning.
In summer 2006, her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis inspired her return to Kailua to raise funds and awareness
about this issue. She is the volunteer creator and director of Cool Kailua Nights.
